IP attorney Douglas Steele will talk about SCO lawsuit claiming ownership of Linux (and probably BSD). Beyond their claims for code ownership, SCO also wants the court to void the General Public License (GPL). If SCO wins, the free/open source software ecosystem dies. Douglas Steele, an Associate at Hunter Hale International, is a member of the New York bar, TLUG and is also a contributor to XPde, a free software project. |
