  1. Subversion

    Josh Glover introduced Subversion, the revision-control system that is billed as "a compelling replacement for CVS", and took us through common tasks. He demonstrated how Subversion can help the coder, lead developer, and normal user.

  2. Gentoo's Portage

    Martin Parm gives a talk about Gentoo Linux's package system, Portage, with special focus on how to make your own packages. The talk will begin with a short introduction to Portage including it's advantages and disadvantages. Then he will outline how to make you own packages by showing several examples step by step. He will also tell how to avoid some the must common pitfalls and gotchas and give some tips on debugging your own packages.
