  1. Installing Debian on a MacBook

    Junichi Uekawa talked about his experiences in getting his MacBook to dual-boot with Debian and Mac OS X.

    Slides from his presentation are available in PDF format.

  2. Writing a Game with SDL

    Josh Glover and Rob Ota gave a live demonstration of writing a simple clone of Missile Command. The goals of the talk were:

    1. To demonstrate just how easy SDL is to use.
    2. To introduce some of the principles of game design and implementation, and to show people what sorts of things they will need to think about when designing or coding up a game.

    Josh and Rob have made the source of their game available under the BSD license, so that you can try it out and extend it.
