Installing Debian on a MacBook
Junichi Uekawa talked about his experiences in getting his MacBook to
dual-boot with Debian and Mac OS X.
Slides
from his presentation are available in PDF format.
Writing a Game with SDL
Josh Glover and Rob Ota gave a live demonstration of writing a simple clone
of Missile Command. The goals of the talk were:
- To demonstrate just how easy SDL is to use.
- To introduce some of the principles of game design and
implementation, and to show people what sorts of things they will
need to think about when designing or coding up a game.
Josh and Rob have made the
source of their game available
under the BSD license, so that you can try it out and extend it.
Weren't able to make it to the meeting? Video is available
